Nigerian Farmers assured of security by Nigerian Army

The Nigerian Army has pledged to ensure the security of farmers in Borno, to raise the creation of paddy rice and other food crops.

The statement quoted Biu as saying that the military would provide safety to farmers to allow them nurture their farmlands and be sure their safety to market agricultural pursuits.

Biu noted that rice farmers have been critical partners in ensuring food security for sustainable economic and social growth in the country.

He tasked farmers to be law-abiding and be certain that they followed closely due-process from the launch of their company.

In his remarks, Alhaji Bulama Mohammed, the chairman of the association, lauded the military over the successes listed in the counter-insurgency effort in the northeast.

Mohammad sought the aid of the military to facilitate movement of their produce to the market.
