4 Passengers Burnt To Death Within Ondo Motor Accident

Four persons dropped their lives in a ghastly engine accident in Ore in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State upon Monday.

The incident occured at the popular ‘Oluwa bridge’ on the Lagos-Benin expressway, and included a commercial Toyota Hiace tour bus.

The victims had been burnt to death.

SaharaReporters gathered that the victims had been passengers on their way to Lagos for your New Year festivities.

An eyewitness, who joined the particular rescue team, said the driver from the bus lost control of the tires, while the tyre burst into fire flames.

“Before we understood what was happening, the tyre from the vehicle was already in flames, yet only few persons could get away from the scene, ” the eyewitness said.

Segun Ogungbemide, the Ondo State Head associated with Operations of Federal Road Protection Corps (FRSC), confirmed the event in a phone interview with media in Akure.

Ogungbemide said the driver of the vehicle went carelessly, and the tyre of their bus burst into flames. Based on him, four persons lost their own lives, while the other four obtained injured.

“The accident occurred around the popular Omotosho area in the Ore axis associated with Ondo State and it involved the Toyota Haice Bus. It  was obviously a lone accident, as the tyre from the vehicle transiting the passengers burst open into flames, ” he mentioned.

“Just eight people were in the bus which was visiting Lagos. Four of them were murdered while the other remaining four had been injured. We have rushed those who made it to the hospital where they are all getting different treatments as a results of accidental injuries sustained in the crash. ”

He, however , warned commuters to drive carefully during the festive time period to aviod crashes.
